Agricultural Education

Classroom/Laboratory

This is a part of the Ag Ed model where FFA members can learn and experience agriculture. This is the foundation of agricultural education. Through labs, hands-on activities, and project-based learning, many members can gain a passion to pursue a career in agriculture

SAE or Supervised Agricultural Experience is one of the components of the Ag Ed. Model. This has been a very beneficial branch of FFA that helps members explore career options, improve communication skills, and also make a little money while doing it. Members who are very diligent and successful can earn proficiency awards and degrees as well.

Supervised Agriculture Experience

This is the leadership aspect of the Agricultural Education program. Members get to gain skills through career development events, leadership positions, and even participating in community service projects. Members are able to earn money through awards and scholarships.

Listed beside, we have a list of all Agriculture classes that the Oelwein Community School District provides to all students from eighth through the twelfth-grade level.
